Tomorrow, September 4, 2026, the upper level low begins to cut off from the main flow. We often talk about cut off lows, so I thought I’d put out an image of an example. When the upper level low (at around 500 mb) is cut off, it tends to wobble around, becoming hard to forecast and also slow to move.
