As clouds pull back Sherman blows then Pt. Isabel and Marin followed by TI then North Tower and Tigers.
Today’s Wind Recipe:
1. Southerly coast winds continue from Bodega to past Waddell as low-pressure lingers over the coast from Oregon to the North Bay. (Who can figure out why Half Moon Bay has NW winds? Think about the pressure gradient through the Hwy. 92 gap area)
2. So while the North Pacific High’s surface NW winds blow out at the Farallon Islands (18 miles west of Gate) the eddy feeds SW wind through Muir Gap, the North Tower and the Hwy. 92 gap near 3rd. Ave.
3. All this has pushed high broken marine layer clouds to the Sierra Nevada. (hence the weak Sherman winds)
4. As the clouds burn back, Sherman blows, followed by Pt. Isabel, Larkspur/Brick, TI, North Tower, Candlestick and Flying Tigers/Haskins.
