Limp winds today but tomorow “Small Dog Warning” winds for dawn as we see a Blast from the Past.
Bottom Line: Possibly weak NE foil range winds with some strong N. gusts in the mountains. If you are camping, you best secure gear and small dogs in preparation for blasty predawn winds tomorrow especially near El Sargento.
Monday’s wind recipe: The wind pantry is almost bare, so only weak NE thermal winds to our Coastal Valleys, strongest the La Ventana to Rasta Beach zone. But the wind gods are preparing a feast tomorrow!
Tuesday Forecast:
- Tonight a massive 1400-mile wide Canadian high-pressure moves southward and centers over the USA’s 4-Corners region creating a massive pressure gradient over the Sea of Cortez and Southern California.
2. If you are a night owl, you can watch our Playa El Paraiso sensor in the far northern Sea of Cortez and watch the approach of these winds.
3. In La Ventana the winds build around midnight like they used to in the Old Days then stay just offshore in the morning until the valley warms.
4. These winds are accelerated by strong low-pressure SE of Cabo which gives them an unfavorable NNW angle.
5. Then as the valley warms the winds reach shore but are GUSTY
La Ventana Area: Variable winds turning NE might touch the low-teens with random northerly gusts.
El Sargento to Rasta: Variable winds turning NE might touch the low-teens with random northerly gusts.
Los Barriles: Variable winds turning NE might touch the low-teens with random northerly gusts.
