Very EARLY GUSTY low to mid 20’+ ENTIRE coast & Bay mid-Golden Gate south past 3rd. Ave. + Sherman, Rod & Gun. Bit weaker in Benicia and Alameda.
1- Beefy 2770 mile wide North Pacific High compacts isobars along West Coast from Pistol River to Baja so northerly ocean winds roar!
2- This wind is accelerated by strong gradient to low-pressure in the Great Basin to Sea of Cortez.

3. Locally, the pressure gradient is strongest towards Sacramento and Stockton which sucks in the ocean winds as W to WSW winds.
4. However, VERY STRONG NW winds at ≈ 1000 feet aloft come over the Ocean Beach to Half Moon Bay this:
a. produces gusty WNW surface winds to the 3rd. Ave. launch sites.
b. produces a WNW vs WSW wind battle near Pt. Isabel and Berkeley messing up the winds.
c. probably brings strong winds to Ocean Beach.
d. produces GUSTY winds that exceed the table values at times.
USE CAUTION launching kites, especially for Ocean Beach, 3rd. Ave. and Alameda.
