Sunday’s Wind Recipe:
- Surrounded by unseasonal low-pressure storms to the West, North and South the North Pacific High’s isobars are compacted along the coast just like a typical May day.
- This causes very strong NW ocean winds with the San Francisco ocean buoy surface NW winds are NW 20g25
- Sunday sees strong pressure gradients to Sacramento, Stockton and BAKERSFIELD + Great Basin brings upper-teens to mid 20’s wind to EVERY site on the coast and Bay except Larkspur/Clark’s Brickyards but Rod and Gun and Bullhead blow.
- Pt. Isabel is VERY LIKELY to see an abrupt fade as you see WNW winds hit Larkspur.
- Early Año Nuevo clearing, so Waddell hits the mid to upper-20s. Bodega reaches upper-teens to mid 20’s with strong wind at Dillon, Tomales and Stinson.
