A massive eddy off San Francisco to Jalama divert the North Pacific High’s surface NW winds away from the Central California coast all day.
However, these eddy winds help the Lopez and maybe Isabella winds.
The eddy you see from north of San Francisco eddy to past Jalama diverts the North Pacific High’s surface NW winds into SoCal waters and beaches.
With early clearing the NW winds accelerates flowing towards low-pressure in the Sea of Cortez, Southern California Deserts and Great Basin.
Central Coast: Faint southerly eddy winds and intrusive marine layer clouds slowly give way to sub-teens W to SW. winds for Arroyo and Pismo.
Lopez builds to the upper-teens WSW. Isabella up and down WSW upper-teens.
Southern California: No eddy slowly dies and the marine layer clouds retreat early. Then mid to upper-teens winds in the Leo to Huntington Beach zone.
There is the potential for late upper-teens from Santa Barbara
