Today’s wind recipe:

1. Thin high clouds from the Sub Tropical Jet Stream are over us today. I think they are thin enough and they partially miss Baja’s East Cape so they are probably not be an issue.

2. The USA high-pressure that created yesterday gusty winds is moving towards Idaho so the Sea of Cortez pressure gradient is weaker.

3. Low-pressure trough south of Cabo sucks those large scale winds past the launch sites.

4. Local pressure gradient to the Coastal Valleys curves and accelerates that wind to the La Ventana and Los Barriles beaches.

5. Random WNW winds from the mountains may make the La Tuna/Rasta Beach launch sites unreliable inside at times.
