Some new ingredients for todays wind recipe:

1. 1000 miles due west of La Ventana an upper Cut Off Low is creating a surface low-pressure which helps draw early wind right to our beaches.

2. High-pressure near the  4-Corners region fans the Southern

Notice how the sensor atop Club Cerralvo captures the strong winds aloft while our surface sensor readings are still building.

California Santa Ana fire winds while sending El Norte winds down the Sea of Cortez.

3. Low-pressure south of Cabo jazzes up these winds.

4. Meanwhile, blue skies creates a local low-pressure that accelerates the wind to the beaches. 

5. Spicing up the recipe are strong northerly winds 1000 feet aloft that sporadically ripple adds salsa to the surface winds.

6. Note wind killing winds of the Sub Tropical Jet Stream south of Cabo. Not an issue today but worth watching.
