Tidal range can be 8-9 feet with low tide in the afternoon and evening enhancing sea breeze activity, particularly from the NE direction.

Park near St. Andrews Picnic Area and hike down to the point.
BY LAW – STAY OUT OF THE BRUSH ON THE SOUTHERN END OF THE POINT DUE TO PLOVER HABITAT.
Advanced riders can ride on the south and west side of the point.
Beginners should stay on the southeast side and DO NOT go past green buoy south of the point.

Setup on the beach between the parking lot and Beach Access 10.
This area has weaker current than northern and southern portions of the island. Large east-west sand bar at low tide offers many exposures.
Best upwind opportunity with opposing wind and current.

During peak tourism season parking may be difficult.
East Beach is a good spot for beginners through to advanced riders.
North Shore and Goulds Inlet are for advanced and expert riders.
Watch for tidal influence and expect areas where ebb and flow opposes each other. Lots of slicks and sandbar action.
